A newly market request lead us to develop a corrugated cardboard packaging that could contain, transport, and promote specific products that required a controlled opening.

Through a specific packaging “opening and closing” design study, it has been realized a corrugated cardboard solution that keep stable the functional characteristics during its life cycle and that allows the contents not to be accidentally dispersed, for example, as a result of a impact.

SMART FLAPS it’s an Italian Patent Pending project.

The product can be made in sizes and materials chosen according to customer requirements.

SMART FLAPS function:

Once the two security flaps torned off, the package has a close-and-release mechanism that can only be activated with the use of two hands. It is opened by pulling the side flaps outward and lifting the lid upward. Once the lid is repositioned, the interlock mechanism allows the package to be locked and thus not opened.
